Terms of Use
The short version. HomeWire is a free app. Apple's standard licence applies. You are responsible for the server you connect to, and the app comes without warranty.
1. Who we are
HomeWire is published by ITCRC LTD., a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08867844), registered address Unit 10, 80 Lytham Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 3AQ, United Kingdom ("ITCRC", "we", "us"). Contact: support@homewire.app.
2. Licence
HomeWire is licensed to you, not sold. It is free, there are no accounts and no in-app purchases. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app, and these terms add to it. If they disagree about the app licence, Apple's agreement prevails.
3. Your server and your responsibility
- HomeWire is a client. It connects only to a WireGuard server that you or someone else runs. We do not provide, operate or control any server.
- Only connect to servers you are allowed to use, and use the connection lawfully. VPN use is regulated in some countries, and you are responsible for following the law where you are.
- You are responsible for your configuration files and keys, and for keeping them safe. Do not share them.
4. No warranty
HomeWire is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, that a connection will always come up or stay up, or that it will protect you in every situation. Do not rely on it where a failure could cause harm.
5. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, ITCRC is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the free HomeWire app, including loss of data, loss of access or problems with a server you connect to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
6. Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. You can stop using HomeWire at any time by deleting it.
7. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
8. Trademarks and privacy
WireGuard is a registered trademark of Jason A. Donenfeld. HomeWire is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the WireGuard project.
How we handle information is described in the Privacy Policy.
